Beyond the Tango Lessons

Weekly Practica Tango Lab Co-op group

I host a weekly practica. This space is open to all the San Diego Tango community. This is a good place to start meeting some of the local dancers and get acquainted with the tango culture. Water and treats are provided plus I am always there in case you have any questions on what you are learning. All levels are welcomed; it is a very friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Some other local tango instructors also show up. Cost is only 10.00 for 3 hrs of practice time. Held at Dance headquarters SD

Specialty Workshops

I occasionally offer specialty workshops that focus on specific topics to enhance what you are learning. Deep dive on technique, biomechanics or musicality.

Typically, I will announce any special workshops through FACEBOOK via my page Linda Garwood or through the San Diego Tango group page

Ladies Technique

Solo work is important. Only ladies workshops are very beneficial because the focus is solely on the follower's role. Topics are varied but all are very useful to help you become a better dancer without the distraction of a partner. Embellishments, musicality, keeping balance and stability, alignment, feet placement and proper weight transfer for efficient and ease of movement, are some of the topics

My goal is for you to not only look good but feel good for your partners regardless of their tango style.
